It’s as Cold in Austin as It Is in New York City

2021 is starting off cold. I just left Newark Liberty Airport and arrived at Austin-Bergstrom International, and the weather is the exact same in both places. The difference is that New York tai-state area is prepared for 28-degree weather, while Central Texas is not. An Uber took me out of Manhattan and a green cab brought me through the rumbled the entire slippery, salt-less ride to my old home in South Austin. My old roommate, M, was home to greet me, but then we got some unfortunate news.

American Airlines cancelled our flight to Mexico, due to the ice. M and I must now spend our Monday snow-bound in Austin, Texas, which, considering the state of the world, isn’t the worst thing that could happen. Tuesday is the new departure date to Playa del Carmen. The show must go on!
